Smoking on Campus

The Smoke-Free Arizona Act (A.R.S. §36-601.01) prohibits smoking in enclosed buildings and public areas.

  • Smoking is prohibited within 20 feet from all establishment entrances, open windows or ventilation systems unless defined differently by a local ordinance. Tribal lands are not covered by the state statute.
  • All high school campuses are considered tobacco-free zones. If an NPC center is located at a high school facility, no smoking is permitted.
  • Check with your local NPC campus/center manager if you have questions.
