Rave Emergency Alert System, RAVE Alert
Northland Pioneer College uses an emergency notification system (RAVE) to inform current students, faculty and staff about closures, system failures, security threats or natural disasters such as fire. Alerts are sent to your student or staff email account. You can also opt to have alerts sent to your personal email account, your landline phone or cell phone as a voice mail, or as a text message to your cell phone.
To STOP receiving emergency text notifications, simply text "stop" in reply to any alert. This will prevent you from receiving any future text notifications from NPC Rave Alert. To stop receiving ALL forms of notifications (voice, email, etc.) from NPC, a request can be submitted to contact@npc.edu. Please provide your full name and phone number.
Make certain your contact information with the college is up-to-date so that you are able to receive these notifications. Here's how:
1. Log in to MyNPC
2. Find the “RAVE User Portlet Emergency Contact” box in the top right corner of the homepage.
3. Click on the “Update Info” link (bottom left) and read through your information. If the information is correct you don’t have to do anything. If it’s not, click in the field and fix any of the information that is not correct then click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.
