The course syllabus is a contract between the student and the instructor spelling out the requirements for the course. A syllabus generally includes the course overview, goals and requirements, instructor contact information, type of grading system, assignments and due dates, attendance standards, required textbooks and materials and a course calendar. You need to contact the instructor to obtain a copy of the syllabus. Many instructors now include the syllabus and other course information in the Moodle Learning Management System for each course.
